In order to practice our mission “ Serve the Society, Benefit the People” better, Nanjing YMCA opened a small Family Shop( Second Hand Shop), to sell clothing, toys, shoes, books, articles of daily use and small household appliances, which are donated by the people with love and care from the society, and foreign trading companies( the clothing donated are brand new).  After sorting out and sterilizing, these goods will be sold in low prices.  And all the income will be used for the needed, such as the mentally handicapped daycare center, support the orphans in rural areas, and scholarship for the impoverished students.

The price of the goods on sale is as lower as 10% of its original, affordable and fashion so that the impoverished and the marginal people will be benefited.

A Sheltered Internship for the Mentally Handicapped

There are some participants with mental disability fostered in Home of Grace, a subdivision of Nanjing YWCA, the send hand shop is a place for them to practice how to take care themselves, so that their potentials can be developed.

Now you can donate the articles in idle such as clothing, shoes, toys, books, articles of daily use, and small household appliance to the second hand shop.  Buying the goods from the family shop makes contribution also, because all the revenue will be used for the people in need.
